On the 26 January 2018, MRT announced that a national selection will be used in order to choose the Macedonian representative. Three songs would be competing in a national final with the song with the most points getting the victory and the right to represent the country at the second edition of the contest. On January 27th, it was revealed that Magdalena ENA with the song "Placat i najsilni" would represent the country in Athens.
